Many websites include Facebook integrations in hopes of offering a personalization that can increase conversions, page views, and social sharing. However, just 2.8% of ecommerce site visitors end up with a personalized experience, as only 5% click the Facebook login buttons, and then only 56% follow through with granting a site permission to access their data, according to a new study by
Sociable Labs. This shows that users aren't actually as scared of the Facebook authorization flow's privacy implications as some might assume. The real hurdle is getting users to click the login button in the first.
