Let?s face it, keeping motivated at the gym can be challenging, let alone turning up to do your workout when you?ve fallen off the wagon. Conventional training vernacular along the lines of ?go hard or go home? and ?no pain, no gain? cloud our thoughts and produces a mental slap that can propel you into the gym and may even get you a few good workouts.
The effectiveness may not last very long but instead creates a cycle of ?good? and ?bad? days (sometimes weeks), which may cause you to just give up. By focusing on the GOOD in where you are, you can activate the dormant GREAT that is only one change in perception away. You are a product of what you believe, and your environment is a product of those same beliefs. So what you expect, you get in this life, this body, these finances ? all of it is your choice.
Here is the chance to turn it all around. Ask yourself:
- ?What is your mental terrain language set to??
- ?If someone spoke to you the way you do in your head, would spending time with that person uplift your life??
- ?Is every trip to the gym a chore??
- ?How much of your time is spent bullying yourself into the ?should?s, must?s and getting to it?s??
- ?Why battle with negativity when switching it to a choice and saying ?Yes!? will slot you straight into the drivers seat??
Shift your perception and see things the way you want them to be Go to the gym because moving FEELS good, a sweat is worth it and you are now one workout closer to your ideal health/shape. Eat as if you ARE in your ideal health and shape, exercise as if you ARE in the shape you want to be ? this requires a radical shift as many of your ?reasons? fail to stack up when you take the responsibility for it as a CHOICE.
- Know it, breathe it, believe it.
- Every workout you do counts. Every one.
- Every food choice you make, counts.
- You make the choice. Every one.
- You count, for without you, there isn?t one!
